Our Beliefs
Jesus said "I am the Good Shepherd.
The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:11, ESV) "For I decided to know nothing among you
except for Jesus Christ and him crucified." (1 Corinthians 2:2, ESV) |
We believe that all people are sinners who deserve eternal death and condemnation, but Jesus Christ, the Son of God, has come to save us. By his atoning death on the cross, he has redeemed us to God the Father, and all who trust in him are forgiven and are given eternal life and salvation. Our common life as a congregation consists in gathering together to hear and receive God's Word and Sacraments in which Christ's forgiveness, life, and salvation are proclaimed and given.
As a Lutheran congregation, we believe and teach in accordance with the biblical doctrines of Lutheran Confessions, outlined in the 1580 Book of Concord. A brief outline and summary of our Christian faith may be found here. |
