The Lutheran Church — Missouri Synod (LCMS)
This is the denomination that our congregation is a member of.  Chartered in 1847, the LCMS is a fellowship of confessional Lutheran congregations in the United States and serves as an umbrella organization for national and international mission and mercy work.

The LCMS New Jersey District
This is the regional district of the LCMS that our congregation is a member of.  It is compromised of 53 congregations, and its current president is the Rev. Dr. Tony Steinbronn.

Rev. James Krikava, LCMS Regional Director for Eurasia 
Pastor Krikava is a friend of Good Shepherd whose mission work is supported by our congregation.  He is preparing to return to the Czech Republic where he served for 15 years as a missionary with his family during the 1990s and early 2000s.
